Stilnness Quotes

To know yourself as the Being underneath the thinker, the stillness underneath the mental noise, the love and joy underneath the pain, is freedom, salvation, enlightenment - Eckhart Tolle

In the midst of movement and chaos, keep stillness inside of you - Deepak Chopra

We can actually accelerate the process through meditation, through the ability to find stillness through loving actions, through compassion and sharing, through understanding the nature of the creative process in the universe and having a sense of connection to it. So, that's conscious evolution - Deepak Chopra

The teaching of the Buddhas is: Find time and a place to remain unoccupied. That’s what meditation is all about. Find at least one hour every day to sit silently doing nothing, utterly unoccupied, just watching whatsoever passes by inside. In the beginning you will be very sad, looking at things inside you; you will feel only darkness and nothing else, and ugly things and all kinds of black holes appearing. You will feel agony, no ecstasy at all. But if you persist, persevere, the day comes when all these agonies disappear, and behind the agonies is the ecstasy - Osho

All true artists, whether they know it or not, create from a place of no-mind, from inner stillness - Eckhart Tolle

. . . knowledge emerges in (humans). Opposed to knowledge is the spirit. The spirit is formless and is incomprehensible to mundane thoughts. . . . Knowledge is active, mischievous, and intelligent. It changes constantly. Spirit, on the other hand, is the master of humankind. Its origin is in wu-chi. . . . It is never born and it never dies. The spirit tends toward purity and stillness. Knowledge tends toward action and disturbs the mind so that it cannot be still. . . . Recognize the difference between the human mind and the mind of Tao. Do not mistake the human mind for the mind of Tao, and knowledge for the spirit - Shui - ch'ing Tzu

Love and Passion

Do you have a passion for what you do? Do you have a passion for life?

To ignore a passion in life is like committing suicide. To ignore what you truly want, and believe you are here for to do can only lead you down the path of self loathing and "what if's" It is okay to make the claim that you'd rather live a comfortable life, but living our lives on our edge is what makes us feel alive.

To be here on earth, we have been given one of the most beautiful opportunities to express ourselves as whatever we may want ourselves to be. We all come to earth as starry eyed, enthusiastic happy beings. Why does this have to change for us? Why can't we continue to express ourselves the way we so passionately want to?

No one is stopping you from reaching from the stars. Only yourself. Love who you are and love what you have. Life is the most beautiful art in existence, it is up to you to pick up the brush and paint your destiny.

A New Day

Many of us start the new year with intentions for the upcoming year, e,g, losing weight, becoming "nicer" people etc. These are external goals.

If you are reading this right now, it is probably most likely that you aren't looking for external satisfaction, you are more focused on the internal.

We are all on this path of life to further ourselves at all possible opportunities.  To do what makes us
happy. Do not become too attached to your goals. They are external and through being at peace with your internal, these "goals" may lose their power, or at least you don't take them as serious as you previously did.

Being receptive to all that occurs in this life is what allows us to follow the path that we have chosen. Trust in the power of life, trust that it is taking you to where you need to go. Whether its a new year or just a new start, remember, everything is already perfectly at peace. Now all that is needed is your peace.

Namaste.
